The 2017 Ultimate Cadet Challenge has been cancelled. This is because of a lack of participants needed to ensure an effective event, which was caused primarily by Hurricane Irma and its impact on personnel. The UCC may be rescheduled at a later date if possible. This year's Ultimate Cadet Challenge (UCC) will be held 27-29 October 2017 at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center near Starke, Florida. Squadrons from across the Florida Wing will converge with their best to compete in several events, such as Urban Direction Finding, Leadership Reaction Course, Drill & Ceremonies, Uniform Competition, and a CAP Knowledge Base Test. Experience this year's new challenge, Geocaching/Team Endurance Run. There is a Dining-In Awards dinner, and celebration of the top three teams. Only one team will have the distinction of being the "Ultimate" UCC Champs for the Florida Wing. Each team is comprised of four cadets and one senior escort. Commanders will select their team. Registration is now open: http://flwg.us/calendar-events/ultimate-cadet-challenge-1416-oct.aspx The UCC Director is Maj Christina English, and the Cadet Commander is C/Maj Maxwell Frost. Applications for remaining staff positions are currently being accepted. Cadet positions are Ops, Admin, Safety, Food Services, Public Affairs (PA), and Logistics. Senior positions include Finance, Logistics, Safety, Communications, Health Services, Admin, Ops, Food Services, Event Marshals, and PA. Team escorts will serve as Safety/Training Officers.
